Brief Bio (include professional interests, hobbies, etc.):
I have a unique perspective in veterinary medicine as I have an interest in a variety of species, treating all animals in many venues, from herd health to medicine, surgery, and preventive health. I especially enjoy equine lameness and am a farrier as well.
My equine interests outside of veterinary medicine include judging horse shows, exhibiting show horses and coaching students.
I have owned and operated an equine breeding, show, boarding and lesson faciltiy with my wife. I supervised two other breeding operations at this time as well while providing veterinary services for three others.
My current personal project is to provide consultation for dificult lameness cases with emphasis on correct hoof care and mechanics. My wife and our asociate, Sylvia Kornherr, assist in this endeavor and the website http://hoovesandhorse.com was created to give the public access to our services.
