    I thought this was a great topic and very relevant to general practice. I would argue that we should only wait 3 days (instead of 5 days) before initiating nutritional support in mild pancreatitis patients. I think 5 days of anorexia is a little long.... only evidence for this is in people where early enteral nutrition is defined as initiating nutrition within first 24 hours for all hemodynamically stable ICU patients not expected to be taking a full oral diet within 3 days or within 24-48 hours of hospitalization.
