    Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is condition that is known to have several predisposing factors. Regardless of cause, affected pets may have an increase in the number of daily bowel movements, and they often experience a sense of urgency to relieve themselves. In indoor pets, this can lead to "accidents" and house soiling.
