Challenging conversations and intense emotional interactions with another person can be one of the most stressful aspects of any job. Most people working in veterinary practices do not receive formal training in how to approach these types of situations and, therefore, are not positioned to successfully navigate them. This can lead to a tremendous amount of stress. In the case of client interactions, this could also hinder our ability to provide optimal care for our patients. These challenges can also creep up in the course of interpersonal relationships with colleagues or coworkers.
