I have heard some say veterinarians are starting to move away from phenobarbital for canine epilepsy. Is this something that has been seen in your experience?
Answer provided by a subject matter expert panelist:
Yes, I think as more drugs have become available, phenobarbital is used less often overall. Particularly since some of the newer antiseizure drugs have fewer side effects.
