Cancer Diagnosis in Dogs & Cats - The Impact of Second Opinion Histopathology

    Seeking a second opinion is commonplace in human medicine. Recently published data from an evaluation of second opinions in human patients found that second opinion requests were most common for orthopedic surgery and medical oncology. Although second opinions are not sought as frequently in veterinary medicine, the reasons for getting one are similar to those in humans, particularly for high morbidity and mortality diagnoses such as cancer.
