Oral Cobalamin Supplementation in Dogs With Chronic Enteropathies

    Cobalamin deficiency (vitamin B12 deficiency) is common in dogs with chronic GI disorders (prevalence, 6%-73%). Fortunately, cobalamin deficiency typically responds well and safely to parenteral vitamin B12 supplementation - which has been the standard of care in treating dogs with hypocobalaminemia.
